I just wanted to let you guys know about the medication Tylenol which is a brand name for acetaminophen. It is mostly used to treat headaches or muscle pains etc. It is a very common pain reliever that everyone uses.
Since it is available over the counter and anyone can purchase it without the interference of the pharmacist, most people don't realize the risk that is associated with it.
When you are in pain, you tend to just keep on taking pain medications without reading the Dosing directions that are on the bottle. It is advised to have no more than 4000mg of acetaminophen in 24 hours. So if your taking tylenol extra strength which is 500 mg, that means you can only take 8 tablets a day.
Most people tend to ignore that and the result is DEATH!!
So the point is, always talk to your doctor about your medications and any other medications that you are taking. Also, it is better to talk to your pharmacist about the medication to ask if there are any side effects or interaction with any other medications.
