Getting make up right can be hard work…In an ideal world, we’d all have the tools and make up we need to create an amazing look for every occasion, but in the real world, it’s likely that we’ll have to make do with what we’ve already got. Which means we are prone to making make up blunders…here are the top ones to should avoid!

Epilation using Braun SoftPerfection epilator (my very own experience)

After shaving for a long long time, I decided it was time for a change. I have been shaving for too long and the results are as long lasting as i would want them to be.

I then tried waxing, but I only waxed like half of my leg and it took me like 45 minutes. It was very time consuming and if you add it all up, it can be very costly too. I started looking at other options and then I stumbled upon epilators

Brought to you By Ladiez-Stuff.Blogspot.com

One of the problems that most of suffer from, no matter how much we try to care for ourselves, is under-eye circles. Some of us have really deep and dark ones while the others are luckier and get away with it. Either way, here are my fifteen tips to look after your eyes and get rid of under-eye circles…

1. Don’t blame lack of sleep …

It’s very unlikely that this is the reason you have under eye bags, so you can leave

10 Beauty Tricks you need to know

Brought to you By Ladiez-Stuff.Blogspot.com

Have you ever noticed how some women seem to be clued up on make up tips, and others don’t have a clue? Many times I’ve wondered how women are expected to learn, and just recently, I’ve been collecting the beauty tricks of my favorite beautiful people. After all, we all want to look great! Here are my favourite beauty tips that you need to know…

1. Skip The Foundation

Available at sephora.com
This probably is my favorite beauty secret to share. Most women do not need foundation. While it can become a habit to apply, its purpose is to give a smooth surface for make up application, and an even tone. More and more teens are wearing it, though. The first make up tip every woman should know? Foundation does not cover up nasty acne, and most women simply don’t need it.

9 homemade Acne Masks

Brought to you By Ladiez-Stuff.Blogspot.com

9 Best
Home Made Anti Acne Masks …

Acne can be frustrating to say the least. Despite all of the products on store shelves, there are many individuals out there that have turned to making their own masks like me. I prefer churning out my own home made goodies mostly because I’m not sure what store products contain. It just feels safer and more natural this way. Plus, I am a big believer in if you cannot pronounce the ingredient in it, then it’s best not to use it.  So here are the 10 best home made anti acne masks that I have personally used…

9. Heavy Cream Easy to Use Facial Mask

The ingredients in this mask consist of heavy cream (1 tablespoon), honey (1 tablespoon) and baking soda (1 gram). This is the fastest mask to prepare and it gets rid of acne just as fast!

8. Best Face Mask for 30’s

Fractionated coconut oil (2 tablespoons), 1 Egg Yolk, Honey (1 tablespoon), Yogurt (1 tablespoon) and Sugar (1 teaspoon). Mix all of these ingredients and process them in a blender. Apply to the skin and let it sit there for twenty five minutes, then rinse it off with warm water followed by a splash of cold water.

7. Best Face Wash for 40’s

This one is great for someone like your mom (assuming you are young and reading this). One way to slow skin ageing is to take care of it. This mask consists of peas (2 tablespoons), Evening Primrose Oil (1 tablespoon), Yogurt (1 tablespoon), Grape Seed Extract (1 tablespoon) and carrot juice (1/2 Cup). Mix all of the ingredients in a blender and smooth it on the face leaving it there for thirty minutes.

6. To Refresh Your Skin …

The ingredients include ¼ apple, ½ peach, ½ tomato, ¼ milk and 1 tablespoon of Almond oil. Peel all of the fruits and mash them up. Add the milk and oil into the mashed fruits and use moderate heat as you stir it. Do this until the mixture turns into a cream. When it cools, apply a thick layer to your skin and leave it there for thirty minutes. This mask will refresh your skin and keep pimples at bay no matter what type of acne you have!

5. Oatmeal Face Mask

Oatmeal is not just an awesome breakfast food, it is also great for the skin because it helps cleanse and exfoliate. It also helps unclog pores. Mix with honey and scrub it on your face to get rid of dirt, blackheads and acne.

4. Pumpkin Facial

Pumpkin is excellent for your face because it is rich in Vitamins C and E. It is also rich in mineral zinc. When you use it in facial masks, it is going to help tone and moisturize the skin. No more dryness!

3. Baking Soda Facial

This is one of the most popular ingredients you will find in homemade acne masks. It really treats acne because it helps get rid of the oil and prevents pimples. It also works as a natural exfoliant.

2. Citrus Fruit Facials

Citrus fruits, such as grapefruits, oranges, lemons and limes will do wonders for the skin. They have natural antiseptic properties, so they get rid of germs which is one reason why you can’t seem to get rid of acne and they will also help to reduce oil. Choose the citrus of your choice and mix it with wheat flour in order to make a paste. Leave it on your face for twenty minutes, then rinse.

1. Aspirin Mask

This one has worked on some people out there, so I figured it is worth the try. It consists of 5-6 uncoated aspirin, lime juice, 1 drop of honey and 1 tablespoon of yogurt. Trust me, this one is better than the best acne products out there.
There are many homemade anti-acne face masks that you can try out. Why would you want to buy one from store shelves, when you can make them yourself and KNOW just what is in it? How many of you out there make your own masks? Share the recipes with me!

8 Steps to follow to get perfect RED LIPS

Brought to you By Ladiez-Stuff.Blogspot.com

8 Steps
for Perfect Red Lips …

Red lipstick has always been a hit, but it’s done wrong so much that it can be too scary to try. Done right, though, it can look gorgeous, and be the extra finishing touch to complete your look for that first date or for a fun night partying it up with the girls or for a quiet dinner with your sweetheart . Here is my fast and easy guide to getting it right!

1. Maintenance

Brush your teeth and do it right. Not only will this get rid of bad breath but will also help keep your teeth sparkling white. If you need to, use a whitener. It’s just not a pretty sight to see red lipstick with unattractive teeth.

2. Choose a shade

Different shades of red suit different people so don’t just buy the first red lippie you see! Experiment with different shades and see what suits you best. Also, different occasions and  places require different shades. A bright red may just not be appropriate as work makeup.

3. Vaseline

Apply a small amount of Vaseline around your lips. Try not to go over the edge, or to use too much! If you find it hard to apply, use a cotton bud lightly dipped in. This will help soothe chapped lips and also help the lipstick stick on better.

4. Apply the lipstick

Now apply your  carefully picked lipstick. Don’t worry too much about the outside, as we’ll deal with that next, just try to give an even coverage.

5. The trick!

Use a clean cotton bud to remove the Vaseline and any lipstick that has gone of the edges of your lips. This will give you a more professional finish, and leaves your lips looking luscious!

6. Blot

Use a tissue to carefully blot your lips. This is important, but most people skip it! Make sure you gently dab your lips, rather than wiping them. Ofcourse this step should be followed for all lipsticks!

7. Gloss

Depending on where you are going, sometimes a touch of lipgloss is the perfect finishing touch. Try to use your finger to apply it, or have a lipgloss specially for red lips, because the lip colour might stain the applicator otherwise.

8. Keep your face neutral!

Let your lips do the talking, and keep the rest of your make up to a minimum. Smoky eyes are a big no no! You’ll look much better that way, and look instantly classy.
Red lips are the perfect way to finish so many outfits, so don’t be scared to try it out! It’ll take less than five minutes when you are used to applying it, and worn right, it is a classy and professional look. I love my red lipstick! Have you got a tip for applying red lippie? Please share it with me!

7 Ways to Find a Great Stylist

7 Ways to Find a Great Stylist …
Picture this: you’ve moved to a new town, too far from your current stylist. Or, worse, your current stylist has retired or moved away, leaving you in desperate need of a trim and a highlight touch-up. How can you find a new stylist you love just as much as your old one? Here are my seven tips on finding a new stylist… read on!

1. Network

If you’re looking for a new stylist, ask your more fashion-conscious friends and co-workers who does their hair. Does the girl next to you at work have the cutest haircut? Does your sister always have the best highlights? Then ask them who is responsible, and book an appointment and start investigating!

2. Check them out!

Step two is to actually visit the studio and checkout the proposed new stylist. Do you like their clothes, their own hair cut, style, and color? If they’re sloppy, out-of-date, or too trendy or strange, then move on.

3. Check out the studio

Is the studio newer-looking, modern, and (most importantly) clean? Is it reasonably close to your home or work? If not, then pass. Try to find somewhere clean, modern, comfortable, roomy, well-staffed, and conveniently-located.

4. Check out their clients

Are the other clients also well-dressed and looking good? If the other clients are blue-haired biddies, or all Goth or Emo teenagers, then this may not be the stylist, or salon, for you. Try to find a salon where the other clients have similar tastes to yours.

5. Ask up front

Before you make an appointment, find out how much basic services are, especially the ones you’ll be using. Also find out which days of the week your stylist will be working, so you know in advance how to go about working an appointment into your own datebook.

6. Check scheduling

Before you decide yes or no on a particular stylist, find out if they even have room for another client. Some stylists are completely booked, and will tell you honestly if they think they can handle managing your hair.

7. Ask for specialties

Also, ask your stylist, or his assistant, what his specialties are. Does he do the best color, but he’s horrible with highlights? Can he do precision cuts? Does he work better with longer hair, or specialize in short? It pays to know up front what he can do for you… and if he can maintain that adorable bob you have!

If you still can’t find a stylist after trying all of this, don’t fret! And, more importantly, don’t try to take matters into your own hands and give yourself a trim… disaster! Be patient, and keep asking around. You’ll find a stylist you love! How do you choose a new stylist? How did you find the one you use now? Please share your story!

10 Great Ways to Treat and Prevent Split Hair Ends

10 Ways to Treat and Prevent Split Hair Ends ..
Split ends can make your hair appear dull, frizzy and damaged. Regardless of where your split ends are, whether they are at chin length, lip length, closer to your scalp or at the back, they will always produce some not so flattering results. I have dealt with enough split ends to last me a lifetime. And at last I have come up with 10 ways to treat and prevent split hair ends. Girls and guys alike, if you are dealing with this problem, here’s how you can treat it!

10. Strengthen your hair

The best way to prevent split ends would be to strengthen your hair. Having a proper hair care routine for one should help keep split ends at bay. Also, opt for professional hair care products over the cheap ones available in the drug store. Better yet, consult with a professional in an upscale salon as to which products would be best for your hair. And don’t forget, what you eat (or don’t) will affect your hair. So opt for hair friendly foods.

9. Hydrate

Of course, it is important that you keep your hair properly conditioned and hydrated. When hair dries out, it becomes weak and brittle and can break easily with even the slightest movement. Feel your hair. If it seems to be kind of dry, you need to do something about it ASAP. There are a lot of oils, intensive conditioners and other leave-in treatments that will be able to cure your condition. My favorite – is Palm Oil, but you’ll have to give it some time to get your hair soft and shiny again.

8. Dry weather and heat

It does not take much hot air to turn your hair into a mess. Dry weather will do the same thing but there isn’t much you can do about that. Blow drying often is right up there too in the causes of split ends. Try to cut down on the hair dryer as much as you can. Ditto for the straightener. Ask for a cut that would demand as little from you as possible in terms of styling. A good stylist will be able to help you here.

7. Don’t wash your hair too often

Did you know that frequent shampooing can cause split ends? Therefore, you should avoid washing it too often. Also, it is important to use a gentle shampoo that won’t dry your hair out. The frequency may vary from every 2 days to every 5 days, depending on how much oil your scalp’s producing. But try to go without extra shampooing as long as you feel comfortable with it. Once people at work start avoiding you, it might be time for that shampoo :) Kidding ! Don’t wait THAT long :)

6. Swimming with your hair down in chlorinated pools and in salt water is a big no

Of course, swimming in pools that have chlorine in it is going to hurt your hair. You may want to try wearing a shower cap on your head. Yes, we know, you may look silly, but at least your hair will not be damaged.

5. Mayo is not only good on food

Did you know that mayonnaise is a good conditioner? A regular mayonnaise bath once a week will help your hair. All you have to do is put a small dollop in your hand, then work it into your tresses for five minutes before you wash it out. The preferred time of mayo treatment is one hour and trust me, it will leave your hair smooth and shiny!

4. Spray the brew

If you find that mayo is a bit too messy for you, then there is still help. Beer is used as a setting lotion. It will give you a healthy, crisp, shiny look. Even if your hair is dry! Pour some of the beer into a pump bottle and spray it onto your hair after you have shampooed it and towel dried it, but before you style it. Don’t worry about the odor, because the smell will fade away. Plus, it’s cheaper than most hair products out there! Definitely worth a shot me thinks.

3. Avoid those vent brushes that have plastic bristles

Do you use those vent brushes that have plastic bristles? You may want to opt for a different one. These brushes can damage your hair by ripping through it. When your hair is dry, use a wide brush that has a foam pad. The Warren-Tricomi Bristle Cushion brush for thirty five dollars at beauty.com is not bad at all.

2. Avoid brushing when wet

Wet hair is more susceptible to tearing, so you should avoid brushing it when it is wet. Instead, use a wide-tooth comb to gently comb it through if necessary.

1.Trim it

Every six to eight weeks, you should trim the ends that are damaged. Never let the stylist use a razor on your hair as this can damage the ends. Regular trimming also gives you a chance to try out some fabulous new hair cuts!

If you already have split ends, the most efficient thing you can do would be trimming the hair and then following the preventive measures. Do you have split ends? Have you ever had split ends? How did you treat them?

If you have yet to discover the most potent secrets that will enhance your natural beauty, you are not alone. But beauty is an attribute that is difficult to define. No single formula, procedure, or technique yields equally desirable results for everyone. The cosmetic advice offered in fashion magazines, within television segments, or on amateur blogs can therefore prove disappointing. Making yourself more beautiful is a life-changing, personal investment—one that should be made in consultation with professionals.
