83 things to do with a penny

Canada Penny

Now that the last penny is stamped, everything will be rounded to a nickel. However, savingadvice.com has come up with a list of things you can still use your pennies for.

1. Clean dirty pennies instantly by dropping them into a saucer of vinegar with table salt stirred in.

2. Use for leverage to pry off the lid from a difficult “line-up-the-arrows” childproof medication bottle.

3. Slip one under a vase that sits a little wobbly to steady it.

4. Tape one to the tail of your kite for a little more stabilizing weight.

8 Things you should never say to a mom

I stumbled upon this article on a yahoo blog and found it really interesting. So I wanted to share it with you guys. It is written by Charlene Prince Birkeland (Team Mom)
470_2329710[1]Parents are careful about what they say to their kids. They even pay attention to questions they might pose to their child-free friends. But sometimes, when comfort levels are high around mom friends -- or people forget to think before they speak -- folks can get careless with their comments. A simple remark by a well-meaning friend to a new mom could hurt her self-confidence. Or a casual comment to a mom with a "spirited child" may do more harm than you'd imagine.
Team Mom asked the experts about the impact that eight comments could have on a mom. Here's what they had to say:

10 Things you should stop doing

During the course of the day, you have many things to do and accomplish. You have your habits and routines, as well as other tasks and responsibilities. These are the things that you normally see on your to-do lists. However, there are things that you do on a daily basis that you actually need to stop doing. These things make use of your time and energy with no positive results in the end.

1. Wasting your time online

If you want to get anything done in real life, then you need to stop wasting your time online. You only need so much time to check, answer, and send emails. You need to watch the amount of time you spend on facebook because you can waste a whole day on it. You have to limit the time you spend surfing websites, blogs, and forums.

3 Ways to recover from stress

No matter what stresses you out, your body's response is to release the hormone cortisol. If you have a mood disorder such as anxiety or depression then you can bet that your body is also crankingup this powerful hormone.  Poor lifestyle choices like not getting enough sleep can also contribute to stress.  The question is, how do you know when the stress you're experiencing is harming you?

When we experience stress, it triggers a chemical reaction called "fight or flight" response which leads to the production of cortisol and adrenalin. This is designed to help us from perceived threats. If you always feel tense or anxious, then your body will constantly be producing cortisol and adrenalin and this can eventually lead to "adrenal fatigue".  The result can be lack of stamina, depression, increased food cravings and weakened immunity.

Epilation using Braun SoftPerfection epilator (my very own experience)

After shaving for a long long time, I decided it was time for a change. I have been shaving for too long and the results are as long lasting as i would want them to be.

I then tried waxing, but I only waxed like half of my leg and it took me like 45 minutes. It was very time consuming and if you add it all up, it can be very costly too. I started looking at other options and then I stumbled upon epilators

Brought to you By Ladiez-Stuff.Blogspot.com

Have you ever noticed how some women seem to be clued up on make up tips, and others don’t have a clue? 1. Skip The Foundation

Available at sephora.com
This probably is my favorite beauty secret to share. Most women do not need foundation. While it can become a habit to apply, its purpose is to give a smooth surface for make up application, and an even tone. More and more teens are wearing it, though. The first make up tip every woman should know? Foundation does not cover up nasty acne, and most women simply don’t need it.
